Cows, sheep and deer do not eat meat as part of their nature. Pigs however do eat meat as part of their nature.

Secondly, not only do they eat meat, rather they eat it in beastly manner, very similar to how other beasts eat it like lions, tigers etc.

Their comparison with respect to meat eating with cows, sheep and deer seems very far-fetched.

Presenting exceptions as an alternative to general principle is a weak argument. Cows, mentioned in the article, for example:

      Cows

“They may seem docile, but cows can be bloodthirsty too. Once, a cow was caught on camera eating baby chickens. Another, named Lal, is believed to be responsible for the disappearance of 48 chickens from a village in India. Local veterinarians blamed his lust for flesh on malnutrition or possibly a disease

So the argument rests on animals being omnivorous by nature- are all omnivores haraam? Is eating meat what makes them haraam? Or the predatory nature? If it’s eating meat then all fish are haraam

It is the beastly nature of an animal that makes it haraam.

Pigs do eat meat as part of their nature. Secondly, not only do they eat meat, rather they eat it in beastly manner, very similar to how other beasts eat it like lions, tigers, Sharks etc.

      Salam Umer sahab,
      Thanks in advance.
Would it be okay to say that (although in present times meat comes pre packaged we dont need to slaughter) but the reasoning of hurmat is so we have sensitivity and empathy.
Yanee one could say playing games like call of duty could make people see killing people as just a game. It could de sensitize us with regards to human life. Just like we saw Kyle Rittenhouse incident.
Yanee slowly we may start to see beastliness as normal, rather thsn bad. Just like video games might cause us to see killing or injuring people as okay?
So can we say the reasoning for hurmat is that if I slaughter or hunt a beast (lion, fanged animal, etc) I would perceive myself as more beastly due to having subdued that animal, and then slowly lose the sense of empathy eg:empathy for human life and suffering?
