I’d like to know if there’s any evidence that one can’t marry in the month of Muharram, please.

Also do tell that is there any evidence that some weddings were held in Muharram in the past.

As per my understanding, there is no religious bar on marriage w.r.t any particular month.
However, considering the sensitivity of the matter because of incident of Karbala and certain rituals by one sect associated to this event and to this month, people usually refrain from arranging any such wedding events to not excite any religious emotions and to avoid any sectarian reaction.

I think keeping in mind the sensitivity regarding the month of Muharram and in consideration of our Shia brethren we should avoid having weddings in Muharram even though as per my understanding religion has not forbidden having them
