Ardah-i-Akhirah And Reading Of Hafs
The final reading (known as the Ardah-i-Akhirah) was the same reading which was read out by the Angel Jibrael (as) to the prophet (saw) twice in the year of his death. Zayd bin Thabit was also present and witnessed the reading. That very reading reading is now prevalent in the muslim world. But why did it later referred to as the ‘Reading of Hafs’?
