  • Why Should I Listen To My Fitrah?

Posted by Ahmad Shoaib on September 5, 2020 at 5:55 pm

Even if I accept the fitrah is something present from birth and not from societal constructs then why should I act in accordance with it?

When I feel it is wrong to kill someone or to lie and cheat why should I follow this feeling?

Fitrah is the natural state – you don’t have to do anything special to follow it’s guidance. You have to exert effort and convince yourself by coming up with justifications in order to do something that’s against fitrah.

So why should I follow this natural state? Or why should I reject my societal teachings that eating dogs is ok- I have to exert effort to unlearn this

You don’t have to. Party with dog biryani. Just don’t invite me 😂😂

      Lol.

But the question remains. Are you claiming that Chinese are exerting some effort to eat dog?

Please watch this series. I think in the last part or the one prior to that Ghamidi sahab has explained the Chinese question.

Yes that it’s a minority and most of the world doesn’t eat these things.

But still- why shouldn’t I just completely ignore my fitrah? Is that even possible?

So to evolve the question: is it possible for me to ignore my fitrah? If it is, why is this a source of knowledge or a measuring tool for my actions?

Each one is born with Fitra and you have to use it to justify what you are doing is right
