  • Numerical ‘miracles’ In The Quran

Posted by Ahmad Shoaib on September 6, 2020 at 4:29 pm

Dear SE: These are some facts about the Quran: the words “Al-Hayat” (life) and “Al-Maout” (death) are mentioned 145 times each; the words “devil” and “angel” are each mentioned 88 times; the words “Al-Rajl” (man) and “Al-Mara’a” (woman) are each mentioned 24 times. Just as there are 12 months in a year, the word “Al-Shahr” (month) is mentioned 12 times. Similarly, the word “Al-Yahom” (day) is mentioned 365 times.<div>
</div><div>Should we give any importance to these arguments in proving divinity of the Quran?</div>

That’s a complete mockery of the religion

Their entire argument is that- the Quran mentions 19. But where does it mention 19? As a FITNA for those who try to find the truth of it. It’s from the mushtabihaat as the Quran says itself

For some it is the numerical miracle

Their entire foundation of evidence to even consider 19 is false and doesn’t conform with the language and context of the Quran. I’m talking about other things how for example opposites are mentioned an equal number of times

      Like this

The word “month” (shahr) occurs 12 times.

The word “day” (yawm) occurs 365 times.

The word “days” (ayyam, yawmayn) occurs 30 times.

The words “perverse/satan” (shaytan) and “controller/angel” (malak), each occur 88 times.

The words “this world” (dunya) and “hereafter” (ahirah), each occur 115 times.

The words “they said” (qalu) and “you say” (qul), each occur 332 times.

Even his miracle is incorrect. He says it took 19*74 lunar years to uncover after revelation of the Quran which is 1406. 1974-1406 is 568. The prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was born in 571.

Im sorry but all of this stuff is exactly like saying, “oh wow see Namaz has other benefits too like according to research it is great for your knees.” I find this argument very much similar. Both are just absolutely irrelevant to the actual and true purpose of their subjects IMHO

But where the opposite things are mentioned same number of times it’s quite interesting. Maybe not enough to prove divinity though
