  Why are they called both? Was another name of ishaq عليه السلام Israel?

  Israel was another name of Yaqoob (Jacob) AS, who was a son of Ishaq (Isaac) AS. Bani Israel and bani Ishaq refer to the same nation and are used interchangeably.
