Can some one confirm the authenticity of the above hadith.

Hadith has been graded as Hasan by Shiekh Albani which means there are some issues in its chain of narrators (related to their memory) due to which this Hadith cannot be categorized as Sahih; but the issues are not too severe so as to categorize it as Daef (weak). Considering so much subjectivity in grading of this Hadith, some people might consider it appropriate to discuss it and some might feel otherwise.
But as a principle, Ahadith should not be seen in isolation, they need to be seen within framework of Quran and Sunnah, in addition to that, validity of matan (text) of a Hadith need to be studied and analyzed carefully.
Quran tells us at two different occasions regarding the Angels appointed over us who are writing our deeds. And it is quite evident from Quranic verses that they are very vigilant and responsible in their duty and are writing everything without any exception (refer to the attached images). Besides, the condition of forgiveness and repentance is not subject to written or non-written deeds category, rather, the condition of forgiveness is absolute when one asks for it with an honest intent to never commit it again.

In the light of such explicit Quranic verses, I think we should not extract religion from Ahadith of such weak gradings.
