Sir , yesterday question was ask from Ustad Ghamidi about karbala , and the notion he gave about it was that it was someway or other justified for yazid too for the position he took against Hussain . I just want a clear answer , that should be our aqeeda regarding it specially seeing the clear diversion regarding this burning issue in today’s world ?

It is not a matter of ‘aqeeda’ and its not that easy to decide conclusively as to whose decision was right in that situation and surrounding environment. All the details that we have are based on Akbar-i-Ahad, which being a zanni ilm, puts us in a position where we can’t say anything conclusively. Ghamidi Sahab expressed his inclination and understanding after going through all the available sources. You can disagree with his opinion if you’re inclined otherwise, but please note that this is not a matter of faith (aqeeda) and accountability for which we will be held accountable in front of the Almighty, whether we reached the right conclusion in this regard or not.

Please see the following response of Ghamidi Sahab.

Question: Is it a responsibility of a common Muslim to to have a conclusive opinion regarding historical events as to who was right and who was wrong? Will a common Muslim be held accountable for his/her failure in deciding the right narrative of the historical events/incidents based on the available evidence on the day of judgement/Qiyamah?

Answer: Please refer to the video below from 1:19:48 till the end
