Is it somehow sinful to perhaps maybe prefer the style of the bible to the Quran. Because the Quran is very specific- being the last testament of course. But the bible has many general statements that ring true with me at least personally

Because we also don’t know if we are loving the actual word of God or just some man’s words

Knowing what you know, what do you think the answer to your question should be?

Well they are both from the same God so the answer should in theory be no- it’s fine. But since we don’t know about it’s credibility we would just be assuming that this is from God wouldn’t we? It would be Dhanni. Some phrases here and there are exactly the same as the Quran – it is actually very surprising- but can we still make the assumption?

So what edge do you think I or anyone else on this forum have to come up with a better answer that that?

      Oh- sorry!

But just as general guidance- what should we do? I mean we don’t know of it’s credibility so should we just implement it in our lives and not attribute it to God? Or are we allowed to make assumptions that this is from God just based on our opinions?

Because Ghamidi sahab and Dr Shehzad Saleem recommend reading the bible as obviously it has parts of injeel and taurah and zabur. But what would this practically lead to?

We read the Quran because we are sure that these words came out of the mouth of Muhammad ‎﴾ﷺ﴿. Isn’t it very easy to attribute a saying to Jesus عليه السلام? So we would be thinking that we are following God but in truth it is just an adulteration.

How can we judge that the similarity is speech was not just a person good at copying the style of the bible rather than God himself? We don’t know for sure unlike in the case of the Quran

No need to apologize. The only reason for me to give you such a crude response was to help you think through a point. The point is that a lot of times we needlessly expend time and energy contemplating over questions that we already know the answers to – they’re just obvious. Until a time when a question is raised on our understanding, either internally or externally, there’s really no need to dig any deeper. Time and energy are our biggest assets. If we focus these on things that really matter, we can achieve a lot of great things in life. But if we get stuck in splitting hair over trivial things, then we make no progress as humans.
