    Salam,

I’m trying to understand the types of Charity in Islam. Can you please help me understand meaning of the word Sadqa as it used in the Quran and who is eligible to receive and is it same as spending in the way of Allah as mentioned in 2:215.

For instance if I were to sacrifice a goat or a lamb and Call it Sadaqa can I, My Family, Relatives can eat from it along with the needy? Or is strictly for the needy?

Also why did RasulAllah forbid Syedna Hassan to eat from Sadaqa or is that Zakat and perhaps misunderstood as Sadaqa.

Are there any other forms of charity in Islam except Sadaqa & Zakat?
