Apparent Discrimination In Allah's Law Of 'Itmam-e-Hujjat'
Doesn’t the law of ‘Itmam-e-Hujjah’ seem to have discrimination inherent in it on the basis of actions of one’s ancestors?
For instance, Allah punished the ‘Mushrikeen’ with death after the truth had been revealed to them conclusively while He punished the People of Book with a lesser punishment of servitude. Both the parties denied the truth and hence, committed an equal sin. However, one was given a lesser punishment than the other solely based on the beliefs of its ancestors.
