Itmam e Hujjat law was associated with advent of the prophets which ended with our beloved Prophet ﷺ

We also see that the greatest condemnation mentioned in the Quran and sight of Allah is of Shirk.

We can reconcile advent of prophethood with condemnation of Shirk. But how do we reconcile termination of Prophethood with the rampant disbelieve today?

Or if I rephrase my question…

Is disbelief of today (atheism and agnosticism) a lesser serious sin than SHIRK that Allah decided prophethood is not needed in today’s time?

Principally it’s true that Shirk is a much bigger sin than Atheism or altogether denying existence of God; Quran explicitly states that there is no philosophical basis for Shirk. But Ghamidi sb. doesn’t see the end of prophethood linked with condemnation of Shirk in that way. His view is that prophethood came to an end because of two reasons:

    1) Conditions conducive to Quran’s permanent preservation happened.

    2) The incident of Shahdah (itmam-e-hujjat/completion of proof) happened in the light of known history.

Please refer to following videos for comments of Ghamidi Sahab on the said matter.
