Sunni And Shia Marriage
اسلام وعليكم my question is about Sunni and Shia marriage is halal and I’m divorced and living alone in US I know this guy very well and he is such a wonderful person only thing making me feel uncomfortable is that he is from Shia maslak, I’m Sunni, please help me with issue , another issue is that my Ex husband divorce me 3time twice , with in 6 months of time period, is that divorce valid ??? Thanks so much

Why it’s not impermissible for a sunni to marry a shia?
We are 1.9 billion Muslims in the world. We are very diverse in nature. That can be seen when one goes to Hajj. Allah had made us diverse. Some people follow Maliki, Hanafi, Hanbali, Jafri and some Shaafi school of thought. Some of us are black, some brown, some white in colour. Allah has made us that way. We can’t have all people agree to the same Fiqh. Diversity is a very natural process.Yet we are all Muslims and follow the religion of Islam and that bond is sufficient for us to marry with each other despite our race, ethnicity, country or school of thought

I know of many Sunni Shias marriages but in principle I have observed that Shias would prefer to marry in their own community
