Please find an article recently published in reply to Ustaaz Ghamidi sahib’s reply on surrogacy.

I would be grateful for clarification on this issue. I remember Ustaaz was asked this question on surrogacy by Zubair sahib. I did not feel that Zubair sahib was technically clear about surrogacy at the time or could not clearly communicate with Ustaaz.

In this article Surrogacy is being taken as sperm of a man being placed in a woman’s womb (not own wife) by artificial means where the egg is of that woman as well. This could be a form of surrogacy but does not seem permissible.

The more general understanding of Surrogacy is where a man’s sperm and a woman’s egg (usually a husband & wife) are artificially mixed in a laboratory and then at a very early stage of foetal formation (zygote) is placed in another woman’s womb and that woman does not contribute her own egg.

    Please help clarify.
