Ghamidi sahab says that God is not just the first cause of the necessary being, but he is much more than that. So does that mean we can research into these two attributes of God through kalaam? Ghamidi sahab says the fundamental mistake of kalaam is that they are drawing similitudes to God. But that’s actually the opposite. It simply says we cannot understand the being of God at all- but here are a few attributes that wajib ul wujud dictates

Your question is not clear, but as a matter of principle, Islam doesn’t stop us from researching into any form of knowledge. The only exception can be when we gain knowledge with evil intentions, or the implementation / application of such knowledge would be immoral.

As far as God is concerned, the only way for us to gain any reliable knowledge about Him is through the word of God itself. Ilm-ul-kalam can’t add or take away anything from it. Almost every idea in kalam has been challenged by kalam itself or the greater subject of philosophy, so in the end we’re only left with the scriptural description of God anyway.

“As far as God is concerned, the only way for us to gain any reliable knowledge about Him is through the word of God itself.”

Then is it safe to say that one can’t reach the ultimate truth without Revelation? And why did then God deprive some among men from Revelation? Isn’t that Zulm?
