    At-Tahrim – 66:4

Jibreel عليه السلام is mentioned separately form angels. He is also sometimes called the Holy Spirit. Is he an angel or something else?

I don’t think there is a specific verse saying that Jibreel (AS) is among the Angels but there are a couple of verses where Jibreel (AS) and even Mikael (AS) were mentioned separately and rest of the Angels were mentioned separately in the same verse to make them prominent.

Is mikail عليه السلام mentioned as an angel then? Or does the same explanation of jinn being known as a different species to Arabs of the time apply?

What is Holy Spirit/ Holy Ghost?

Why other angles except Jibreel are not called that?

Why christians belief Holy Spirit/ Holy Ghost is God while jews don’t. As if both know that is Hazrat Jibreel.

If it is, then what special purpose is served by Holy Spirit in Christianity?

    An-Naba’ – 78:38

Here is the mention of the spirit. What proof is there that this is jibreel عليه السلام? And then how could jibreel عليه السلام be an angel if he is this ‘ruh’?

So where do we get the fact that this ruh ameen or ruh quds or rasool ameen is jibreel عليه السلام ? Is it the Quran or some other historical source?

Jibreel is a known word associated with Angel of God and has been prominently mentioned in different verses separately from other angels (emphasizing his importance). Therefore, it is a valid inference that if someone has been given such big titles as rasul, ruh ul qudus etc. in the context of bringing revelation to the Prophet and helping Prophets, Jibreel (AS) holds this status to perform this job. These titles commensurate with both name and status of Jibreel (AS) as mentioned in Quran.

Mr. Sohaib needs a satisfactory response to the argument in this link. It’s basically a Quranist argument.

To be honest I am satisfied with the response. The words have a historical context behind them which makes sense
