Mu’tazilite creed consists of five principles:

1. Divine unity (monotheism)
2. Divine justice
3. The inevitability of the promise of reward and the threat of punishment
4. The intermediate position of Muslims who die without repentance after committing a grave sin
5. The injunction of right, and the prohibition of wrong
