Adultery With Protection
As Prophet Muhammad said:
Muslim should not water someone else field.
If a person use protective equipment and doesn’t water someone else field, isn’t it because similar to self masturbation?
As both won’t result in a child.

Adultery is an act that requires two people. This is an act which has absolute prohibition in the sharia, regardless of whether or not there’s possibility of a child. Please see the following note by Javed Ahmed Ghamidi in reference to Quran verse 7:32.
یہاں تک قرآنی اوامر ـــــ عدل، احسان، ایتاے ذی القربیٰ ـــــ کا بیان تھا۔ اب آگے وہ چیزیں بیان ہو رہی ہیں جو قرآنی منہیات ـــــ فحشا، منکر اور بغی ــــــ کے تحت آتی ہیں۔ اِن میں سب سے پہلے زنا کو لیا ہے۔ یہ چوتھا حکم ہے۔ فرمایا کہ اِس کے قریب نہ جاؤ، اِس لیے کہ یہ کھلی بے حیائی اور بہت بری راہ ہے۔ اِس کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ اِس کے برائی اور بے حیائی ہونے پر کسی دلیل و حجت کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ انسان کی فطرت اِسے ہمیشہ سے ایک بڑا گناہ اور سنگین جرم سمجھتی رہی ہے اور جب تک وہ بالکل مسخ نہ ہو جائے، اِسی طرح سمجھتی رہے گی۔ انسان سے متعلق یہ حقیقت بالکل ناقابل تردید ہے کہ خاندان کا ادارہ اُس کے لیے ہوا اور پانی کی طرح ایک ناگزیر ضرورت ہے۔ یہ ادارہ صحیح فطری جذبات کے ساتھ صرف اُسی صورت میں قائم ہوتا اور قائم رہ سکتا ہے، جب زوجین کا باہمی تعلق مستقل رفاقت کا ہو۔ یہ چیز اگر مفقود ہو جائے تو اِس سے فطری اور روحانی جذبات سے محروم جانوروں کا ایک گلہ تو وجود میں آسکتا ہے، کوئی صالح معاشرہ اور صالح تمدن وجود پذیر نہیں ہو سکتا۔ اِس فعل کی یہی شناعت ہے جس کی بنا پر اللہ تعالیٰ نے صرف اتنی بات نہیں کہی کہ زنا نہ کرو، بلکہ فرمایا ہے کہ زنا کے قریب بھی نہ جاؤ۔ اِس کے معنی یہ ہیں کہ ایسی تمام باتوں سے دور رہو جو زنا کی محرک، اُس کی ترغیب دینے والی اور اُس کے قریب لے جانے والی ہوں۔

Also I think all preventative laws make it so even the slightest possibility is mitigated. You cannot say that everyone will always use protection or that protection will be 100% functional

I think adultery goes beyond a physical act, it also has a psychological impact and a lifestyle impact. Let’s suppose adultery doesn’t result in a child, but the mentality of changing partner and always looking for something new and exciting…this mentality will eventually impact bonds of marriage later and adversely impact dedication of parents to raise a righteous offsprings. The bonds of marriage may also be weak and easily severable…which is not conducive to a great society.
