Fear Of God
We see people saying we must have fear of Allah, I think fear of Allah is wrong thing, i think we should love and obey Allah, so I want to know is this a necessary thing having fear of God or the love for God is important. Kindly explain it.

It’s not only that people say that we should fear God, but God Himself recognizes fear of Him as one of the attributes of the pious people. Please consider the following verse, for example:
Quran 79:40-41
Translation by Asad
But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer’s Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, paradise will truly be the goal!
It should be noted, however, that the fear of God is really the fear of His displeasure – its not the same kind of fear that we might experience from a monster, for example.
