    Quran 29:48 Illiteracy Before Prophethood

    Al-‘Ankabut – 29:48

    Arabic

    وَمَا كُنتَ تَتۡلُواْ مِن قَبۡلِهِۦ مِن كِتَٰبٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُۥ بِيَمِينِكَۖ إِذًا لَّٱرۡتَابَ ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ

    Does this imply full illiteracy or just not knowing scripture level things?

      I have read it by but don’t see how this implies full illiteracy

    This implies full illiteracy. It means the prophet didn’t read any book and didn’t write any book.
