According to the Quran verse 57:3 God has been there since eternity (Al-awwal) and will be there for eternity (Al-aakhir), He can’t be compared to anyone or anything that we know of (Quran verses 112:1-4), and due to the limitations of our knowledge, we have been advised not to coin any similitudes for God (Quran verse 16:74). We only know God from His attributes that He has shared with us. Understanding the reality of His existence is not possible for us. Any ideas we form in this regard will only be speculative at best.
