Old Vs. Current Translation Of Quran – which Is Accurate, Relevant And Why?

Seems like as Arabic language evolves, current Quran translation also fits and automatically adjusts with time, without scientific errors or contradiction. Here are some supporting verses.

    Supporting verses:

-54:17,22,32,40: “We made the Quran easy to learn…”.

The Quran will be easy to learn if it is relevant and current to the time.

Since Quran is a guidance for all of humanity.

    – 41:44: “…Whether it is Arabic or non-Arabic, say, “For those who believe, it is a guide and healing…”

If Allah promises to protect the Quran, it makes sense that meaning of the Quran would be protected too as most of the believer’s are non-Arabic and even Arabic people do not understand Quran’s Arabic completely.

Seems like the new meaning of the same word in Arabic is now different, but still relevant.

A few examples of Old vs Current translations.

    ———————–

    دَحَاهَا = Spread

Old: 79:30 Thereafter he spread the earth

    دَحَاهَا = Egg

Current: 79:30 He made the earth egg-shaped

Both of these translations can be argued as correct and incorrect.

    ——————-

    ذَرَّةٍ = Particle

Old: 4:40 Allah will not inflict injustice the size of a (dust) particle

    ذَرَّةٍ = Atom

Current: Allah does not inflict an atom’s weight of injustice.

Both of these translations can be argued as correct and incorrect.
