Can a Muslim Man can touch the dead body his muslim wife ?

The logic from religious leaders is given that if a man dies then the muslim woman observe his iddat time of four months and ten days so her nikkah is not nullified unless the iddat time is passed. On the other hand, if a woman dies her nikkah is nullified the moment she dies, so husband become the na-mehram to her so he cannot touch the body of her wife after death. Kindly, answer this question in the light of Quran and Hadith.

Yes a husband can still touch his wife after she has died. The concept of mehram and na-mehram is only applicable to people who are alive.
