Islam is about an incident that’s about to take place – the day of judgement. It addresses what will happen after death and how we should prepare for it. All of it’s wisdom and laws are within that context. Medicine is not really a subject of Islam, just like physics and chemistry are not either. Any medical advice given by prophet Muhammad SAW was in his human capacity and consisted of treatments as practiced by Arabs of that time. They have no religious significance.
