    Surah Al-Anfaal (The Spoils of War)

    8:39

    [Believers], fight them until there is no more persecution, and all worship is devoted to God alone: if they desist, then God sees all that they do,

    Translation: Abdul Haleem | Medinan

    Why is this punishment being given before surah tawbah which was the real time that all worhship should be devoted to God?

    I think this verse is regarding the battle of Badr. It was the first instalment of punishment(a trailer of what’s coming next) on the pagans of Makkah as explained by Ghamidi sab.

    I guess it applies to muanedeen who are killed before itmam ul hujjah as well? I’m not sure

      I guess itmam e hijjat was already done on those people that were killed. Weren’t the treaties done later? I’m sure about this
