Isn’t technically adnan on speakers bidah? By the literal definition of the word it is an innovation. Milaad also comes under this- what is the principles to class something as bidah

What about a prayer mat. For adhan ok the essence is to call to the prayer as surah jumah says. But prayer mats don’t fit into the religion and they are used every time when we pray

In Urdu they say “aqalmand ke liye ishara kafi hai” 😊

To idhar aqalmand log jai namaaz kyun istamaal kar rehe hai? 😅

But seriously it has become like a religious necessity almost in some circles to pray on a mat

I’m not aware of anyone who wouldn’t pray namaz if a mat was unavailable. However, if such a person exists we will simply educate him.

So then what is the definition of bidah I don’t get it. It’s presenting anything as a religious act or practice or doctrine when it is not authorised by God or his messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم right? So if we call them ‘Islamic’ mats is that ok? I don’t know about the nuances that’s why I am asking basically
