    I understand that he’ll is for those who are arrogant to God and show an evil attitude.

    But even if we were arrogant to our mother she would still save us from touching fire. But God will burn us for eternity.

    Is he really then more loving than our mothers?

      I think the question still remains. Heaven being given is good and all but eternal hell I don’t think can ever be loving. I

    I think we have to remember that it’s not just the punishment. We have been told in the Quran that some people WILL enter hell. We have been given their names. Abu lahab being one of them. Is any crime he could ever commit be worth having his skin burnt only to have it regrown and burnt again?

    I think you are just focussing on mercy, Allah has other attributes too. Isolating one attribute to understand phenomenon may not give you full clarity. btw I know this argument i gave is lame 1.
