Doubts About Tafseer
Last month I started reading Tafseer of the Quran but after some time I started doubting it whether it is right or not. I haven’t been able to read anything since then. What should I do now?

In this matter, Ghamidi sahab always advises that one should first read merely a good translation of the Quran without any tafsir/commentary. Having done that, one can read the tafsirs penned down by good scholars. If a certain tafsir is not making sense, one can always turn to some other tafsir written by someone else. The fundamental thing which should be kept in mind before opting for a certain tafsir is to know the approach, method and school of the scholar. This helps a lot in evaluating their ideas and interpretations.
