The Quran m, in many places, allows sexual relations with slaves. The question arises, what slave would every deny sex to a master demanding it? Of course it seems that they wouldn’t in fear of being punished. So isn’t it likely that this verse would be supporting a sort of rape?

With due respect, I think you haven’t watched Mr. Ghamidi’s lectures on this topic with full attention. He has explained this issue with details.

Islam has allowed sex with wife and yet some voices still raised regarding possibility of rape there.

Mr. Ghamidi has beautifully explained that how Islam wanted to gradually abolish slavery. Abrupt ban on slavery could have resulted in slaves on the street more vulnerable than within the custody of a master.

The way Islam has given incentives to free slaves shows it intention to end slavery.

A wife comes into a contract of nikah willingly. The possibilities of rape are low. I’m sure you can understand how the slaves is different when it comes to.

I don’t think the Quran permits rape anywhere and that anyone who rapes their slave would be allowed to do so.

Rather isn’t it very difficult in the case of if a slave is raped to prove it? Wouldn’t it be better to just not allow this relation?

Do you have any videos for me to watch where it is explicitly explained why sex was allowed?

Imagine if lady slaves were thrown on the streets in that era. Would you expect a better treatment to her on the street or at her master’s home?

      Watch following Mr. Ghamidi’s video:

One does not have to have sex with slaves in order to not throw them out on the streets.

They could have been kept. What is the reason for allowing sex with them?

I have watched most of these videos before as well and find no answer to my specific question of why sex must be allowed for slaves to not be thrown out on the streets.

      Allah ki merzi. Any objection?

You have made it seem like there was a logical reason to this. People I have talked to start to question how kind God truly is if he is allowing these types of scenarios in which rape is very likely

Do you think sahaba were of a character where they would justify rape or do it? What does treat your slaves like you would like to be treated mean? You need to keep in mind that slaves also had needs. They weren’t married and and it wasn’t possible to get married easily for them. I think it was allowed to prevent nuisance.

The order was also given to marry them off. So they could fulfill their desires. Why the need for the relation with their master? Weren’t there enough slaves to marry them within themselves?

Was it possible to marry all the slaves? If they all were married, you would have questioned ‘why were they forcefully married’

Not everyone can get married anyway in normal life. And these slaves just had to wait a few years. After all other people have to wait too.

Why to own a slave at the first place? Was there shortage of men? Couldn’t slave girls marry a normal man from their place? Your answer would have made sense if there was shortage of men and women had to marry one guy. I don’t think you can prove it statistically.

I agree with Faizan. Slaves were given utmost respect in Islam and option to be free when they are comfortable . So they were not slaves in the general sense. So there is no question about forceful sex with them if someone was following Islam properly and they would not feel any more pressured than a legal wife.

At the end of the day they are just slaves! Aren’t they? I don’t know how can you be respected as a slave. Do you think people willingly became “sex slaves” do you think any woman on earth would want to be owned by a man for the sake of SEX? I don’t know why you are trying to make it look like they were some respectable people but brother SLAVERY of any kind can never be justified!

Was it ok to have sex with your female slave? Was it permissible?
