In our Zakat Calculator, please enter appropriate numbers in appropriate boxes. When you reach the end, it will generate a statement showing you exactly what percentage is applied to what and how much you owe.

    Aoa,

Faisal, a little clarity on stocks zakat is required please.

If i am a long term investor of stocks and i usually keep a stock for more than a year and holding it at the time of calculation then rather the whole investment being an asset shouldn’t it be capital of that business, and i should pay zakat on the earnings of that business for my share?

If you have a legitimate investment business then that can be done. However, if it’s your personal capital that you invest with the intention of savings and/or growth then the entire amount should be considered as a personal asset.
