Slavery In Islam
Could someone pls clarify on the issue of slavery in Islam. We know Islam opened the door from slavery to freedom but what about the door into slavery ?
As per Ghamidi saab, enemies in war when subdued could be taken as POW’s but not slaves and could then be given freedom if the opposing side pays an amount for them.
Whats the major difference here between slavery and POW, if money is to be paid to free them in both case?
