Assalam u Alaikum. The normal approach that I have seen people taking is that they believe let us enjoy life and do what we like and when the time comes we will repent and everything will be ok.How to counter this approach? How to give Dawah to such people?

Yes one point can be given that our life is unreliable,it can end at any time but then they say we have been living uptill now so we will for atleast 1 or 2 years or they say ok we will start from tomorrow, how to convert this tomorrow to now!

Repentance means to realize our mistakes and sincerely repent soon afterwards. Repentance does not mean that one can knowingly keep on committing sins without any remorse and ask for forgiveness before death.

One has to understand life in proper context in order for this to make sense. Our lives do not begin when we’re born and end upon our deaths. This portion of our lives is just minuscule as compared to our total existence. If we desire long-term joy and comfort then in this life we must adhere to God’s laws. When mistakes happen, we should sincerely repent, fix our mistakes, and keep moving forward. If we adhere to this behavior then we should finally overcome our habit of sinning and expect God’s paradise as a reward. If we don’t then we may be buying an eternal life of difficulty and torment for a few days of joy. The math is very simple!

Faisal answered it perfectly. Just to add to it, I experienced a similar situation where a person would sincerely (without planning) repent and ask for Allah’s forgiveness and do his/her best not to commit the same sin, but ended up doing it again. This person repents and asks for forgiveness each time and each time even with his best efforts and sincerity ended up committing the sin. Eventually he was able to get out of it, but he did commit it several time.

In my opinion, Allah would forgive him for his sincerity and effort. Any difference of opinion Faisal?
