Do we find something in the past, before Prophet Muhammad to have claimed to be a prophet in the absence or in presence of some other prophet? Because no order of Khatim un Nabiyeen was given.

After the Death of Prophet Jesus Christ, The Messiah; Saint Paul/Saul of Tarsus while travelling to Syria to persecute Christians, Claimed he had Visions of Jesus Christ in which Jesus spoke to him directly, personally addressing him. In these Visions, he claimed, he was given the mission by Jesus Christ himself to Preach the Gospel of Good News of Jesus to the Gentiles (Non-Jewish Roman Citizens in Asia Minor, Syria, Constantinople, Rome etc.) as an Apostle of God & for that mission Paul will be assisted & guided by the Holy Spirit as was Jesus before him.
The Holy Spirit still guides the Saints and Bishops of the Catholic Church even today according to the beliefs of Christianity.
