I think what ghamidi sb wanted to say that, among arabs these stories has transmitted through oral transmissions. Arabs were aware of those stories and suspected location of origin of these stories

The Prophet and the companions walked through the Madain Saleh ruins on their way back from Tabook. It was referring to that.

Well. There was only one Nabatean kingdom from 400BC to 100AD. Thamud was one city from this kingdom, but I’m not sure if Ad were also from this kingdom or from somewhere else. We know it’s thamud due to hadith

According to Ghamidi sahab thamud and aad were pre Abraham so it should be around 3000 BC

Maybe true for Ad, but not Thamud.

He says it’s for both. I think they used to call thamud the second aad or something. He says both are pre Abraham anyway and the Quran seems to mention both tribes together
