    کیا قرآن سے زائد ہونا اور قرآن سے متضاد ہونا ایک ہی بات ہے؟؟؟

    جیسے ہم کسی حدیث کو قرآن کے متضاد ہونے پر رد کر دیتے ہیں کیا ویسے ہی ایسی حدیث جو قرآن سے زائد ہو اسے بھی رد کر دیا جائے گا؟؟؟

    The entire religion is transmitted to us through ijma and tawatur in the form of the Quran and the Sunnah. There are lots of things mentioned in narrations, for example, application of a law, seerah of Prophet Muhammad SAW, words of wisdom, and even those things that are not part of religion. Every narration will have to be understood individually to figure out what it’s relaying.

    No. Its not one and the same thing. Its not similar.

    Contradiction from Quran: Hadith conveys a different or opposite meaning from the text of Quran.

    Difference from Quran: Hadith conveys an extra information not found in the text of the Quran. It will be judged with Common sense and Historical Context.

    آپ اگر کسی حدیث کی مثال دے سکیں تو شاید آپ کے سوال کا مدعا بہتر سمجھا جا سکے اور بہتر جواب پیش کیا جا سکے۔

    البتہ میرے خیال میں یہ بات واضح رہنی چاہیے کہ احادیث دین میں کوئی اضافہ نہیں کر سکتیں۔ باقی یہ بات کہ انھیں قبول کیا جائے گا یا نہیں، اس کے لئے محدثین نے بہترین معیارات تیار کر رکھے ہیں۔ یہ اور بات ہے کہ ایسا بیشتر ہوتا ہے کہ وہ خود بھی ان معیارات پہ پورا نہیں اترتے۔

    The ahadith that extend beyond the scope of a subject matter of a Quranic verse are not the same as those that outright contradict the Quranic verses. However, it is noteworthy that all reports were compiled by fallible beings. Consequently, the reports with additional material carry a potential risk of jurisdictional error. Since Quran is the universal scale of authenticity, it confers “knighthood” to other narrations. Suppose that there is a narration referring to the matter of inheritance. If the content of the narration exceeds the clearly stated ahkam of the Quran regarding inheritance, the scholar may review whether the additional content of the narration remains within the bound of other Quranic principles. If nothing is found to grant reasonable legitimacy to the additional content, a scholar or student may cross-reference it with other similar reports/narrations. If they are still unable to synchronise the additional content, they may either avoid commentary until further research/review by fellow colleagues or they may choose to add relevant/short comments to aid their research. Importantly, and in my humble view, the new findings regarding the additional content of the report should be clearly recorded to distinguish it from the primary sources, until evidence is found to the contrary. Such due diligence ensures data integrity for academic purposes and for future reference.

      Can you please elaborate with actual examples? Are you saying that you can use Ahadith to add to the Quran and Sunnah?

      Assalam u Alaikum Ashal bhaee,

      Main yeh arz ker raha tha keh jis hadees main maujood ehkaamaat Qurani ehkamaat ke daaeray ko phalaang dain tau aisi hadees Us hadees jesi nahi hoti jo keh sera ser Quran ke ehkamaat ki khilaf warzi karay. Albatta tamaam ahadees ka zakheera ghair maasumeen ne ikatha kia hai. Chunan-cheh kisi bhi hadees main maujood zaed maalumaat ka buniyadi masla yeh hota hai keh wo Quran o Sunnat kay ata karda daera e ikhtiyaar ko na phalaang day. Nabi Paak ki ghair maujoodgi main Quran hi mizaan hai aur wohi har daway yaa ahadis ko authenticity bakhsta hai. Is zaman main mein ne wirasat kay maslay ki misaal di thi. Quran ne wirasat ki taqseem ka qaanoon wazeh taur per bayaan kia hai. Ab agar kisi hadees main maujood ehkaamaat Qurani ehkamaat se zaed hon gay tau yahan se tehqeeq ka aaghaaz ho ga. Maslan dekha jaye ga keh us riwayat ka pas e manzar kia hai. Kia koi istasna (exception) ka masla tha. Ya koi aur fact jis ki wajah say Nabi Paak ko maslay ki munasbat se Quran ki roshni main ijtehaad karna para ya Baargaa e Ilaahi se guidance talab ki gayee jo keh Quran ka hisa nahi thi? Kia riwayat main maujood zaed information Quran kay kisi doosray musallama usool ke mayyar per poori utarti hai? waghera waghera…
