What we are being commanded in regard of people Who don’t Believe in God is to wait read this ayah.
Say, “Are you awaiting anything to befall us except one of the two best things: ˹victory or martyrdom˺? But We are awaiting Allah to afflict you with torment either from Him or at our hands. So keep waiting! We too are waiting with you.”

and in this waiting period,, we are ordered to do what is being commanded in –Surah al-Asr…
“By the declining day, man is [deep] in loss,, except for those who believe, do good deeds, urge one another to the truth, and urge one another to steadfastness.,“
