The Sahabi means the one who enjoyed the company of the prophet, no matter how brief the period is. However, the one who spent more time in his company is supposed to be the one who learnt religion and received better opportunity to train himself or herself.

According to this definition, does muhaddiseen set the criteria that there will be no objection on their character?

But there are somethings which seems to be not true but are sahih by sanad, like Musa AS slapping the angel of death,so what about these things?

Like the reliability or trust on Sahaba who may have reported israiliyat?

There’s room for misunderstanding at the end of Sahaba as well which is not the same as questioning their ‘adalat‘. But more than that, the chances of narrators in miscommunicating the content of Hadith is higher than that of Sahaba, because of the chinese whisper effect. But most of the israeli riwayaat have weak chain of narrators. That is why principles of understanding Hadith are put in place to counter these limitations in Akhbar-i-Ahad. They are still not full-proof.

Sahih us Sanad doesn’t imply that the narration is correct. Any narrator including a companion can make a mistake.

Doesn’t the path and way of shaba and the understanding of sahaba a hujjat for Deen?

Because they were only those people who learnt Deen directly from the prophet Mohammad {PBUH} how could be we right if we ignore the understanding and way of sahaba?

If misunderstood this answer of Dr irfan then please let me get the answer of at least what I have understood from dr shehzads answer!

Please post it as a separate question because this is not related to the primary topic of the thread.

So in that case the matan(text) would be criticized and can be called even daif even if it’s chain of sahih?

      Yes.

But how? When the narration is been stod on the condition and principles and all the conditions are full filled then how the narration could be zaif?

Therefore every naration has to be classified as weak if we don’t accept any sahi hadees as the word of prophet

Study of the Content (Matan) of any Hadith narration is also an integral principle in understanding Hadith after study of the chain of that narration (Sanad).

ولا يقبل خبر الواحد في منافاة حكم العقل وحكم القرآن الثابت المحكم والسنة المعلومة والفعل الجاري مجرى السنة كل دليل مقطوع به

A khabar-i wahid cannot be accepted which is against sense and reason, is against an established and explicit directive of the Quran, is against a known Sunnah or is against a practice which is observed like the Sunnah or its conflict with some conclusive argument becomes absolutely evident“.
