    Once again i would like to thank you all for helping us in our journey of knowledge about Islam.

    could you please differentiate between State in Government (Dont we have islamic state?) ?

    can a government have mazhab (religion)?

    An autonomous geographic entity is called state, while a particular group of people who form the administrative apparatus of a state are called the government.

    People in a government can be followers of a particular religion, but the modern nation states are secular.
