I would like to get some examples for events that happened in the history and are known to people by Ijma-Tawatur. Some easy examples that a layman can relate to.

I am not a scholar, but how to perform a prayer is a good example. Prophet Muhammad pbuh performed the prayer numerous times and thousand followed him {Ijmah} and then they transfered this information to their offsprings {twatur} That is how the information transferred down the generations over the last 1400 years {twatur) . Now million follow the same method for prayer {ijmah} and teach their children {twatur). The authenticity of prayer method is verified by how most of the people still perform the prayer (ijmah).
There are many other examples , but Azan is perhaps tranferred the same way.
