    Any law which is being made to counter oppression and infringement of its citizens’ rights is not aginst Islam. Infact, oppression and infringement of rights have been declared Haram in Islam.

      Agar aisay maamlaat sai muraad ‘Domestic Violene’ hai, toh agar qanoon saazi nhi hogi to mazloom ko insaaf kaisay milay ga aur zayadti ka azala kaisay hoga.

    Personally I believe any husband who frequently and severely abuses a women should be made example for all others and punished in the middle of town square after telling the public the details of his crime. Jail is an easy and not the right punishment, but he should be 10 times more beaten up than what he was caught for to cover for 10 previous times he did not get caught. The second time twice as much punishment and jail. They need to feel the taste of their own medicine.

    But, but we need to be very careful with the law not to punish the innocent. Women normally do not hurt men physically, some women play passive agressive and devious games and sometimes provoke husbands to beating them to get husbands in trouble. Sometimes they injure themselves to blame the husband to take revenge or suppresd husbands.

    We need to make law, courts and criminal system better before going for extreme punishment. The incidents where there is a clear proof, the abusive men must be punished severely and immediately and after the beating then educate them.

    Now this punishment should be equally applied to women who try to trap men or falsly accuse them. If a husband is punished for their false accusations, then those women should get twice the punishment.
