      to call someone a prophet or accept someone a hujat are the same things???

      Claim of someone receiving divine revelation (mukhatiba-e-ilahi) is something which questions superiority of Quran. However, calling someone hujjat based on mere interpretation of Quran and Sunnah doesn’t fall in this category e.g. calling someone hujjat-e-Islam or hujjat-e-Quran, which are very common terminologies in our society and requires a different form of critique.
