Wajib is a Hanafi terminology to categorize those things that are not established through conclusive means (dalel e dhanni) but are necessary to follow. Other fiqh schools don’t make this distinction. Injunctions fall under two categories: a) fard (also called wajib) refer to things which are required and we will be held accountable for ignoring them; b) nafil (also called mustahab) refer to things which are not required, however they will be rewarded if done.

Dalel e dhanni refers to individual narrations (akhbar e ahaad) as opposed to tawatur. Strong commands that are established only through these means are termed as wajib in the Hanafi fiqh.
