  • Why God Doesn't Speak With Everyone On Individual Basis?

Posted by Faisal Ali on July 24, 2021 at 5:39 am

Allah selected very few among humans as prophets and He communicated with those chosen people directly through Jibreel, whereas Allah never communicates with anyone else. What is the criteria to be prophethood? Moreover, It essentially means that prophets did not believe in Allah, but they knew certainly that Allah exists, resulting these prophets will surely go to Heaven; on the other side, many humans will die as non-believers and eventually end up in hell because they could never speak to Allah. Even if prophets faced many hardships because of prophethood, these hardships or sufferings are nothing in comparison to what many other people would go through in hell. Therefore, it seems to me that Allah is unjust or maybe He does not exist because God, by definition, must be just. Your views?

Brother if u can clarify your question regarding prophets and non believers than it’ll help, it’s not clear what exactly is you r asking

Criteria for prophethood is not shared by Allah in Quran or Hadith or any other book. it was His sole decision to grant prophethood. Prophet knew he is the prophet right away meaning it’s not a gradual ascent to prophethood. There’s no “evolution “ into becoming a prophet, it was Be and It is

To put it frankly, why does not Allah communicate with everyone as He does with prophets?

Yes that would’ve been nice. There would’ve been 1 religion, no wars, global peace, no philosophical arguments about physical & metaphysical, no problem of what is good or why there’s evil, no worries about future, no painful past, no heart will be broken, no capitalism, fascism, no hitler or Holocaust or massacre in Iraq, Kashmir, Bosnia, mianmar etc. in short, human beings would not know any sorrow and everyone would have satisfied heart, Qalb e saleem!

Brother can u imagine such a world? I can’t because in that world we cease to be human but become angels in paradise.

I am sure u r aware of the fact that this life is nothing but a test so imagine if Allah has spoken to all of us then what kind of test it would be? (Why we r in this test is a separate discussion )

Still, why did God then speak with prophets? It seems prophets have been exempted from this test, as they knew realities, whereas others are just left with option of belief.

When everyone and everything refused to take the responsibility, we humans accepted the privilege and the responsibility that comes with having a free will to be a superior being and to earn eternal life in heaven. This required that we are tested on the correct use of free will to earn eternal life in heaven. So we agreed to take the test. Allah sent us to this World stating that whoever will follow his guidance will be successful. Then he put some basic guidance in our mind, such as a sense of one Allah and a sense of right and wrong and sent us to this World for a test. Since he said he will send his guidance, he has been sending his guidance through prophets, to remind us to look deep into our mind and recognize the truth. He is basically guiding us and giving us clues to help us pass the test. Without breaking the environment and validity of the test, he really wants us to pass the test; that is why he increases the value of one good deed by 10 or 100 or more times, but if we commit a sin, it is counted as one sin. Furthermore, if someone really trie his best and honestly asks him for forgiveness, he is eager to forgive all his sins over and over again. So he is really trying to help us pass the test.

If Allah would talk to every one personally then it won’t be a test.

Regarding selection of prophets, since he knows everyone’s past, present and future and he knows who is capable and deserving and who is capable of passing his toughest tests, Allah is capable of selecting the right person for prophethood.

He states over and over again that he will certainly be absolutely fair and just when evaluating our performance in this test.

The Quran indicates otherwise. Please see Quran 2:124 for example.
