Scholars differ on authenticity of hadith in Trimidhi but there’s another authentic ahadith with different chain mentioned in Al Mustadark al Hakim 399 Al Mu’jam Al Kabir Tabarani 13448 that’s says the same….

Ghamidi sab is in opinion that hadith of ijma is not authentic in trimidhi but what about other ahadith mentioned in different books with different chain?

Could you quote the Arabic of both ahadith?

Wait Ive to look for it in pdf….

Heres mawqoof ahadith from hzt Umar regarding ijma that Beenish Hussein talked about

Ok so it’s mawqoof and Umar رضي الله عنه ‘s opinion. So we have to first make sure we’re not being anachronistic. What did ijma mean in his time? Were there ahlul ilm with the same hierarchy etc as there would be 200 years after him?

Also it is mawqoof but we’d have to ask a hadith specialist about it’s authenticity.

I’m any case it’s not the لن تجتمع أمتي على ضلالة hadith. It’s a completely different narration

Sure so maybe @Irfan76 can help with the grading. As for the wording it says dalalah not khata

      السلام عليكم

When Irfan Bhai responds to this, I also want to ask him about how the Hadith is translated. As far as I know, مضارع is also used for wishing something. For example, we say, “يرحمك الله.” Maybe, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was making a prayer, saying “May Allah not unite this Ummah on evil.”

Ghamidi sahab’s disagreement with ijma is not one the basis of veracity of any hadith narration. Hopefully the following video from 1:12:21 till the end will help in your understanding:
