Quran 78:8 – Created In Pairs
وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ﴿٨
“and created you in pairs,”
Mostly people understand this use of word “pairs” as husband and wife.
I have been thinking – does it only mean husband wife? Or is it like Yin Yang? If God was only talking about creating marital pairs, then God could have been very precise in the usage of His words.
Can someone who has the knowledge of the arabic elaborate on this? Thanks

Quran verse 78:8 is specific to humans. Not everything is explicit in words in the Quran or any other book, however, the intended meaning can be understood by the context. That said, verse 36:36 further elaborates the concept of pairs.

Limitless in His glory is He who has created opposites in whatever the earth produces, and in men’s own selves, and in that of which [as yet] they have no knowledge.
