    That could be a prize.

If someone else is playing and people are betting on that cricket match where both have contributed and one will take all and it is a game of chance…not knowledge or skills…is the definition of gambling.

If two teams are playing and both contributed towards the prize is not gambling, because it is game of skills not chance.

A game of chance where you may loose your money is gambling.

On the other hand, A game of chance where you have not contributed any money or valuable, but you have a chance to win is not gambling.

Just thinking…It seems like betting on someone else’s skills or knowledge is gambling too, such as betting on a cricket match, horse racing, or on a person participating in a knowledge game.

But betting on your own skills or knowledge is a prize when both parties are contributing for the prize.

Finally betting anything, money, valuable or your work effort on any game of chance is straightforward gambling.
