Inheritance: Why Does A Sister Get More Than The Wife Of The Deceased
Assalamualaikum,
I became to know if a man does not have son, parents, brother then after 2/3+1/8 rest of around 21% property goes to sister.
So wife gets 12.5% and sister 21%.
How come this is justice? Sister does not have any responsibility. Where she does not have husband and son shouldn’t she get a little more?
How come sister is getting more atleast brother have some responsibly sisters have none.
Please if anyone knows answer me. As it bothers me so much.

If The deceased has more than one daughter and a widow, In that case, the share of the sister is not prescribed in the divine law. It is a Ijtihad by Fiquha.

It should be decided by the authority that who deserves the rest of the property.
