There are the evidences in Quran and the reports recorded of the time of the prophet that the people were very much aware of the events taking place in neighbouring lands. for example, the Quran discusses the war between Byzantines and Persia that the Byzantine will recover from their defeat in a few years. There is a report which states that when the prophet boycotted the three of his companions who failed to participate in the expedition to Tabuk, one of them was lured by the king of Ghassan to join him. So it is very much convincing that the people of Byzantine and Persia were well aware that a man who called himself the prophet of Allah had got victory on his opponents the way he used to claim. also, this happening was in the perspective of the tradition of the prophets mentioned in the Bible and every body knew it.
