No, there isn’t any prohibition in this regard. The prohibiton that Prophet Muhammad (sws) was talking about in his time related only to wearing of silk clothing for men because it was a mean of showing off one’s wealth and to express arrogance. Now a days, it’s form and nature may vary from culture to culture. Even that was not an absolute prohibition. As following narration depicts where Hazrat Aisha (rta) is said to have a silk cloak. See:

Other narrations also tell us where Hazrat Abdullah-ibn-e-Umar (rta) was given a silk dress from Prophet Muhammad (sws) as a gift (see: Musnad Abi Yaala: 5714, Musnad Ahmed: 5693,5713,5714,5727,6419 and Moajam Al-Kabir Tibrani: 13,433):
Hadith No.10 - Abdullah Ibn-e-Umar Given a Silk Dress
Similary, Imran bin Husain (rta) was seen wearing a Silk Cloak and he justified it through saying of the Prophet (sws) (see: Musnad Ahmed: 19934, Musnad Royani: 91, Moajam Al-Kabir Tibrani: 281, Sunan Al-Kubra Bahiqi: 6093, Shobul-iman Bahiqi: 5789):
