thank you much but my question remains unanswered. i understand the whole process of eradicating slavery and also the masala of maria qibtia but what i specifically want to know is: if she wasn’t married to the Rasoolullah SAWW how did she have a child with him? Isn’t sex out of marriage zina?

Sex out of Marriage is Zina but this exception was kept considering the long-held custom of Arabs until slavery was eradicated gradually from the society.
